CellMark Chemicals division aim is to source, market and sell specialty chemicals products for niche applications and markets. CellMark are a service provider towards their producing partners. You are seasoned, commercially- and business driven professional, experienced in sales of chemicals specialties products sold to German customers. You are driven by curiosity and continuously hungry for (new) business opportunities. You speak the language of Pharmaceutical and Agro-chemicals. You might even be educated as Chemist yourself. You possess excellent listening skills, are open minded, curious and ready to explore new ideas coming from others. You thrive by bringing businesses from scale-up to small-/medium sized enterprises. Hence, you are naturally exploring the world ‘out of the box’, whilst keeping a keen eye on business objectives. Being a self-starter ‘avant-la-lettre’, you are comfortable in setting your own accountabilities. Despite your autonomous nature, you excel as team-player bridging cultures, nationalities and business acumen. Your balanced personality makes you adapt with great ease to various level of interlocutor at the customers. From an operational procurement to corporate lead buyer or managing director. You are comfortable in dealing with international companies in general, and French and German companies in specific. Hence, you are proficient in English, German and French. While being part of a sizable multinational, people at CellMark Chemicals are all “self starters” and “doers”. So are you. Business development is an intrinsic component of your activity and you can work according to agile principles. You like challenges and believe in silver linings as those are potential areas for growth.
About the role
Your main target is twofold. On the one hand, you develop direct sales to pharmaceutical and agro-chemicals manufacturing companies. On the other hand, you develop business through a finite number of fine chemical synthesis producers that operate as sub-contractor or as toll manufacturers for the agro-chemicals or pharmaceutical manufacturing companies. Part of your responsibility is taking ownership of 2 agency agreements for which CellMark Germany is acting as sales agent and thus is remunerated on a commission basis. Starting with managing the customer side of the business, you will naturally grow into taking full and integral responsibility of supplier management as well. As the office is based in Dusseldorf you will have the opportunity of regularly visiting and working with your colleagues within the organization.
