About the organisation
Following a restructuring and market repositioning, one of the business units is now pursuing further synergies by growing market share, reducing costs and risks, increase efficiency and integrate cultures in order to meet and exceed customer expectations.
To support this business and management team in realizing goals and profitable growth, our customer is looking for a strong finance leader and business controller.
About your role
Through your experience in business planning, you take charge of the periodic operational and financial reporting packages preparation and presentation, yearly budgeting and monthly closing processes.
As the business unit operates large scale industrial projects, you are leading the project controlling process, including project planning and accounting, cost price models, project cashflow and margin reporting and risk management. You will be collaborating with the project leaders on presenting project performance and provide proactive countermeasures in case of variances and risks to targeted budgets.
You are responsible for the quality of accounting and timely external reporting in accordance with group policy, and will maintain a robust internal control framework by standardizing and automating financial and business processes.
You will be building and leading a professional finance team, and be reporting to the managing director of the business unit and you will have a dotted line to the group CFO.
About you
You have over 10 years’ experience in finance and accounting and exposure to act within a management team as finance leader. You are ready to make impact on the organization and provide a direct contribution to successfully growing the business in a challenging environment. You have experience within an international manufacturing environment and you are hands on within project controlling and accounting.
Furthermore you bring:
- A master degree in finance or equivalent, preferably with a RA/RC qualification
- You combine business control skills with solid knowledge in financial accounting
- Continuous process improvement is always on your agenda
- Strong sense of urgency, clear and concise presentation skills
- Persuasiveness by motivation and facts, data driven and robust analytical skills
- Fluency in English and the Dutch language is required.
